Jelacee & Outlaw - Im Leaving (remix)

Recently, State Your No!ze made an appearance on radio station, Rinse FM. DJ Scratcha niced us with a spot on the show, challenging us to produce a remix of his original song 'Im Leaving' featuring impressive songstress Alahna, as well as demonstrating some high-level mixing skills.

Check the proceedings of the whole show from this link  =]

Erm...Hip-Hop?

As a believer in real, true music, I must admit that the recent bewildered route of urban music (specifically hip-hop) has somewhat reduced its general likeability. Recently, its as if every single verse must contain at least two whole bars of plain profanity, much in contrast to the philosophical tones of earlier rap. Hence the reason why most post-1998 hip-hop is HARDLY found in my iTunes library! I sincerely hope that the jazzy, soulful sounds of Pete Rock, J Dilla and Preemo will someday return to my eardrums; until then I’ll just have to put up with 50 Cent and his unattractive noise. FAK!

Frankmusik - Confusion Girl

The video for Frankmusik's new single, 'Confusion Girl'. Just saw it on TV and clocked th-at it was shot in the ends, Mile End to be precise.

Garage. House. Kitchen?

Seems like decades ago since the unfamiliar bass driven sounds of Wiley's Eskimo braced the speakers of many youths across the UK. Prior to this, came GARAGE, formed in the mid-1990s and a direct development of its JUNGLE/DRUM & BASS forefather. Following this came GRIME, astronomical because it allowed many of us to produce music from our own yards. Grime brought us new talents such as Ruff Sqwad, The Movement, JME, Skepta and Chipmunk, and is definitely still an influential genre, not least by it's arguable links to violence. BUT...

I was just thinking today...
The momentum of UK music has since shifted into the Migraine Skank'in hands of FUNKY HOUSE/FUNKY/TRIBAL; not forgetting the intervention of DUBSTEP'S muddy basses and intricate drum patterns/melodies. All of which are moulding the UK as a dominant force concerning the progression of music itself; but as shown, 'in-fashion' genres change as often as this shit English weather and some day we'll all be skanking to a new, formulated and innovative sound. So i ask...

What's next?

It All Starts Here...

WHERE to start?! You have locked in/tuned into/accidentally stumbled upon the blog page of a certain intriguing individual, known governmentally as Errol Anderson; but you can call me mysf!t     ;).

I would like to welcome you to the abstract and quixotic palette (thesaurus at the ready), on which I'm going to express all my daily feelings, thoughts and concepts. I really want to be a journalist or get involved in the media somehow and I would love to hear your opinions on all the affairs that I'm going to encounter. So get comfortable + seatbelt yourself dawg!... Who knows what I'll come up with in the coming weeks/months/years?!

As mentioned before, my name is Errol Anderson and I'm a seventeen year old East Londoner. I've always been stimulated NO HOMO by the ability to express myself creatively, hence the reason why I decided to construct this blog and also one of the main reasons why I'm involved in sport (namely football) and music production. From an early age, a football has been one of my best inanimate friends. I previously played at Arsenal, had trials at Watford, Leyton Orient, West Ham and have been the proud captain of a certain Pro Hawks FC Sunday league team. I've been making my own music for about...2-3 years and I LOVE it; I consider being able to combine and experiment with limitless elements to produce just one .mp3 is arguably the greatest gift from God, apart from life itself. I make music alongside a couple friends (Jelacee, Outlaw & Pee Wee), and we're collectively known as STATE YOUR NO!ZE; watch out!! Additionally, I have to say I'm interested in so much music, its emotional, and I mean almost everything (apart from heavy metal and some of that classical stuff) and so many of the articles that'll make a prompt appearance here will ultimately be heavily music orientated, because MUSIC is THE SEX.
