Kanye West Bredded This Sh*t

If you ever thought that Kanye West was the original stage-interrupter-spoiling-party guy - you were wrong. ODB flipped at the Grammys when Puff Daddy (P Diddy) had won best hip-hop album earlier in the evening. Bought a new outfit so why not get it on screen, alie?!

Busta Rhymes ft. ODB - Woo Hah (remix)

Still reckon this is one of the funniest videos around - on the same level as them mad Missy Elliott videos back in the day. Really though, what was their costume designer smoking, sniffing, inhaling etc. when they thought about these garms?!

RIP O.D.B.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

I'd like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. Drink up, eat up, open up (your presents) and don't be an idiot like the guy above. These sort of things make me think about life.

RadioTuna

As Google has revolutionized the way we search for all things great and small, newborn site RadioTuna is set to modify the way we find online radio - imagine it as the younger search engine brethren of the infamous Google big brother. They see themselves as a cross between Spotify and Google, and the project's been described as "the first real-time search engine for internet radio". As you'd imagine, there's a staggering variety of music, though probably less than you'd think from scanning 20,000 stations.

Formed by three music fans from Brighton who love internet radio, they claim:
RadioTuna is the first real-time search engine for online radio, giving up-to-the-minute results relating to the music being played across the globe right now. If you search for an artist that happens to be playing right now, we’ll tell you and you can connect straight to that station. If your choice isn’t playing right now, we’ll tell you which stations are most likely to play them next.
Very, very ideal for those unknown artists who rarely get any mainstream notice but undoubtedly deserve your ears. The database literally had every genre I could think of and then some. Anyways to cut things short - this thing is live; listen, discover, enjoy.

Jelacee - 3 Words (remix)

You know what, I'm tired of saying it, but Jelacee and the rest of the S.Y.N gang are mad talented. Not even because we are close, but genuinely talented. He recently flipped the mediocre (bordering on crap) Cheryl Cole tune '3 Words' via some dubstep bass and airy piano melodies - here's the track in queestion for your music starved ears.

H Town - They Like It Slow

Youtube surfing generates some NANG! moments. Like finding some real music. Here's H-Town 'They Like It Slow', one of the best slow jams around in my opinion. Don't believe me?! Play it to your girl blud. Enjoy!

Pope Definitely Feels Tupac!

The Vatican releases a playlist featuring Tupac Shakur

I was happily amused to find out that the Vatican selected the gangster rapper, Tupac Shakur, to feature on their Myspace playlist. The thought of Benedict miming 'That's Just The Way It Is' whilst receiving the Offertory is wierdly satisfying.

Albeit, their final choice was in fact the more subtle and morally correct 'Changes', it's good to see that the Pope's versatile; the man probably has a couple of gold chains to rival Birdman too. I'd love to see his iTunes.

Timbaland turns his back on hip-hop scene

Hip-hop producing legend announces a turn away from the genre in favour of pop.

Coming from arguably the best hip-hop producer on the planet, the statement Timbaland made about being "done with hip-hop" ultimately marks the sorry end of commercial hip-hop for me. Having done research, he may have realised that it's European, pop-loving women that are buying his CDs; but on a deeper level, his decision depicts how the hip-hop market is increasingly becoming an unprofitable Autotuned wasteland.

Undeniably, to say that the music industry is just that, music, would be the largest understatement measurable - apart from Britney saying "I'm not crazy!" in early 2008. The aim is MONEY! Without it, Cribs would be non-existent and neither would the 17 bedroom houses accompanying it. Timbaland's decision to shift is one of convenience and one that I applaud, music is a business. Plus, let's face it, the percentage of Afro-Caribbeans actually buying these albums are probably diminishing every second. I mean, why buy when you can download or transfer. It is for this exact reason that most hip-hoppers are on their mixtape grind, no doubt. Timbaland in his wisdom, has obviously realised this and opted for his 'Morning After's - without doubt, much credit must go to his creativity and versatility, but at it's root, there must have been a financial ticker somewhere in his anatomy, telling him it's time to move on. The new album Shock Value 2 (if you haven't got it yet shatap) justifies this whole article into 55 minutes of eargasm, with an array of artists from Miley Cyrus through to Nickelback rocker, Chad Kroeger, masterfully bundled together with Timbo's trademark twists and twirls.

The question that remains to be answered is, who will be the next one to see the 'pop-world' light?

BBC Sound of 2010

15 rising stars have been compiled into a shortlist by the BBC to find the best musical talent in store for our ears in 2010. Little Boots, Adele & Mika have all won in previous years and this year's list includes both Devlin and Giggs for the urban ear. Hopefully that will get them more widespread coverage.

New Karate Kid

Take a look at the new Karate Kid who you might recognise as Will Smith's son Jaden. As you can see, my man has some serious elastication inna him leg. The original came out in 1984 and was definitely a hit - got to love old Mr. Myagi, hopefully this one will be as good if not better. Mind you, you know what they usually say about remakes =/

Stephen Gately features in top Google list

Google released its annual list of the most searched words and terms yesterday, giving a snapshot of the stories and trends that have captured the public’s imagination.
The survey revealed that Stephen Gately, the singer with the boyband Boyzone, was amongst the “hottest topics” of the year, after millions flooded the site for news of his death in October.
The “zeitgeist” lists show the most popular keywords from billions of Google queries made by British users in the past 12 months. The company’s search engine is one of the most valuable research tools. It is able to work out trends in popular culture, news, retail and anything that the public searches for online.

80s/Early 90s Music Every Day

Was playing a bit of San Andreas , and I swear down, nothing beats a good portion of new jack swing from the early nineties. Jodeci, Bell Biv Devoe, Ralph Tresvant - they would lyrically swallow Chris Brown and the like.

Anyways, rant over, lis-ten =]

Just Making Noise

I have a respect for most artists. But, erm...can someone tell me how X Factor is a 'national talent search' when acts like them stupid twins are polluting my TV screen. How can you expect me to take the whole series in a serious manner, when these youts are singing Britney Spears in some lycra.

I BEG someone assasinate Louis Walsh.

Shock Value II - Debut Single

Timbaland debuted the first single from his forthcoming "Shock Value II" on October 16 on Ryan Seacrest's website. The synth and bass heavy "Morning After Dark" features the seductive vocals of French-American singer SoShy (recently signed to Timbaland's Mosley Music Group) and a laid back, autotune-infused performance by Timbaland.

New album is to be released on November 23. Has Timbo still got it musically?

Lady Gaga in New Beyonce Vid?

Turns out Lady GaGa may have filmed a guest spot in Beyonce’s new video for her single Video Phone. The promo was filmed last week in Brooklyn, New York and is reportedly fashion themed. Directing the vid is Hype Williams, famous for his outlandish hip hop videos for acts like Jay-Z, Kanye West and Missy Elliot.

According to reports the Video Phone vid will show the stars in various fashionable outfits - which certainly suits the ladies well! A leaked photo from the shoot shows GaGa in elbow length gloves, yellow heels and a sparkling white basque. Some US gossip mags claim that Lady G and B have recorded a new duet version of Video Phone for release.

Make It Funky For Me (remix)

Chipmunk - I Am Chipmunk

New album expected for release on 12th October.
UK Support.

Scars - Basement Jaxx

If you have an open mind for music - outside the box of grime that is, have a listen to Basement Jaxx's latest album. In contradiction, you can even find some grime on here, YES! I said it. Chipmunk features on the title song 'Scars' alongside Meleka & Kelis, where the producing duo created some kind of modern hip-hop/electro concoction - sounds interesting.

For the regular BJ listener, there's their usual assortment of tiny samples, house beats and techno madness - yet this album, in my opinion, isn't their best. Definitely one for the iTunes library, but not the best.

Soulja Boy Engaged?!

Crank them wedding bells! Did Soulja Boy get engaged to model Rosa Acosta? Love him or hate him, man has hit the jackpot with this specimen. EESH!

MediaTakeOut is reporting that rapper Soulja Boy proposed to model Rosa Acosta some time last week. The website claims that a celebrity friend of Soulja Boy leaked the info.

Soulja Boy has a huge fan base on
Twitter that he shares the most minute details of his life with, from new tattoos to remote control Lamborghinis, but it appears the young star is trying to keep this bit of personal information under wraps.

Rosa Acosta is from the Dominican Republic and an accomplished ballerina. She moved to the United states in 2006 to further her modeling career, and has since been featured in music
videos from 50 Cent, Mario, P Diddy, and Drake.

Soulja Boy recently worked with
Chris Brown
on Brown's third album "Graffiti," after the two collaborated on Soulja Boy's iSouljaBoyTellEm record. "So we worked together and we did a song that I think a lot of people gon' like. It's a smash record. When he put it out, it gon' get a good response," Soulja Boy said at the time.

Drizzy & Cudi to collaborate

Turns out that two of the hottest hip-hop talents, in Drake and Kid Cudi, have decided to go ahead and collaborate. In a recent talk, he also stated the importance of unity within what is now a very segregated hip-hop scene. I can't agree with Cudi, I really want to get back to them good old days of urban music - less gun talk, better rhymes SNM.

Oh yeah, Kid Cudi released debut album Man on the Moon last week, make sure you take a listen.

HERE is a link to Cudi's tune Make Her Say ft. Kanye West & Common

Jade Ewen - My Man

Here's the debut single from newly signed, reported Sugababe recruit, Jade Ewen. Choong?! Oh yeah, and the song's quite aight too.

Amelle Quits

After all them rumours about her being kidnapped and the numerous fallouts with fellow Sugababe, Keisha, it's not surprising Amelle ducked out. Personally, I reckon she got a bit too big for her boots after merely chorusing Tinchy's second number one tune. I never thought she could sing anyway, live performances left a lot to be desired. Although only a rumour, it's claimed that UK Eurovision Song contestant, Jade Ewen, is going to be the new member.

Isn't it a bit odd that Keisha is still about though - these times I thought she would have left as well, but amidst opinions that she's bullying the other gyaldem, I think she's here to stay...

Serena Williams' outburst at the US Open

If you haven't seen Serena Williams' outburst at one of the officials at the US Open, then here you go. Supposedly, she said I'm going to kill you! Some fucked remark from that muscular woman - considering there must be so many ways that she could conjure up to kill you with a tennis racquet and a couple yellow balls! Chinese woman swiftly snitched to the umpire. She didn't want it!

Another One Of Those Days

I swear down, I reckon they need one sick

to wake their delusional selfs. Maybe for the next issue of NANG! I can highlight a couple things...

Oh yeah. HOW CAN I FORGET!
Last Friday was some scam, so many plans flopped - but any ways, me and Jelacee ended up on some random expedition to Oxford Circus @ like 11PM, got bere club flyers from people thinking we're over 18.

WHAT A PAR!

These times I'm thinking a fake ID is the way forward. SNM

But after lingering about, we decided to leave - passing some gay bar on the way. MADNESS! I felt so visually violated. Then just as we're going to the #8 bus stop I hear some mad drumming session coming from near Tottenham Court Station.

We followed the crowd to see some next black man playing drums on IKEA hardware...

Music Videos Back On Youtube

After a period similar to a music video desert, Youtube has finally been allowed to re-host official videos on the well known site. THANK GOD! It's been so long since I've been able to watch Aaliyah and the like , without receiving some message - I can't watch it because I'm not in the right region KMT.

Since March 2009, viewers haven't been able to see the videos because of a breakdown in negotiations with the Performing Rights Society.

"The PRS is responsible for paying out royalties to composers, publishers and songwriters."

Six months down the line, Youtube have agreed a multi-million pound agreement with the firm to allow thousands of videos to return to our eager fingertips and screens.

But you may ask, what took it so long?

“YouTube is a complex product. Both sides had to make sure any deal reached covered all premium and independent music videos, TV material which included music soundtracks in the background and user-generated content. We worked on our own timeline and have come to a good partnership which will last until 2012… We are happy to have come to a sweet spot with the PRS.”

Relief isn't the word fam! Also, Youtube has arranged for several artists including Tinchy Stryder, Basshunter and Florence and the Machine, to be 'guest editors' to promote the return of music videos. They will choose their favourite videos for the site’s homepage. LIVE =]

The Best of X Factor

I present to you, the greatest X Factor has had to offer over the years.
Enjoy!

The X Factor Jinx?

Its that time of year again when thousands of wannabe pop artists flock to studios nationwide, all for the golden four 'yes' approvals of Simon Cowell and co. Last year, a staggering 11 million people stayed surgically attached to their X Factor filled TV screens in anticipation for the next starlet of the British music scene.

Yet the percentage of successful careers, spawned from the show, are ultimately quite low. Take 2007 winner, for instance, Leon Jackson. Even remember him?! The guy recorded one album with Sony before being dropped by the illustrious label, having sold just 130,000 copies. Runner-up Rhydian, a Welsh operatic belter, managed to sell 500,000 of his debut, totally dwarfing the sales of the so called winner. Shouldn't it be the winner that reaps the benefits? Sad.

With Leona Lewis now sweeping £1million off a show and seven songs, is it a safe statement to say that righteousness has been reinstalled? Are JLS going to break the mould and become pop world overlords? Only time will tell, not forgetting your comments.

Sometimes you have to sit on hard chairs that are uncomfortable, but just sometimes you get to sit on a nice sofa. Well could you imagine how much of a dick you would look sitting on this one, the sofa is in the shape of a dick; it even has testicles at the end.
